Kevin is a scholar of the ancient Mediterranean world with specializations in intercultural contact and exchange, conceptions of alterity, anthropological and cognitive approaches to ancient texts, the Homeric poems, ancient Greek poetry generally, and Archaic Greek history. Trained in anthropological approaches to the ancient Mediterranean world by Marcel Detienne at Johns Hopkins and Franco De Angelis at UBC, Kevin is a well-rounded Humanist and Social Scientist, as comfortable conducting ethnography with living societies today as navigating the intricacies of an obscure ancient text. He is currently teaching Anthropology, Classics, and English.
